PHC is somewhere near town, so you can hang around there after the trip!

Can Can Business Volunteers needed!

Can Can Business Volunteers needed!

Can Can Business is a campus-wide charity event where we will collect can food from TP students, regardless of school. These can foods will then be donated to one old folk home (which will be announced at a later date) during the Chinese Lunar New Year.

This is a meaningful charity event as we get to help the old folks, as most of them are financially dependent on the aid of the home.

Here are the information that you may need:

09 January (11 - 4pm)

Note: Any can food are acceptable as long as they are halal, and of course fit for consumption. Participants will be awarded with seal points.

Temasek Polytechnic Open House

For this year, BSC will be lending a helping hand to the other clubs and TPSU.

TPSU: Mass Dance
TP's showtime! The turnout was great for the past few years with increasing visitors over the years. This time there are more to come! Be part of the TP family in welcoming and serving the guests. Let your enthusiasm and spirit resound in the minds of these people after their visit!

Required: Many people to dance the TP Mass Dance!

Like last year, a swarm of energetic people wearing different colours will be gathered in front of the Plaza to rock TP with the Dance! If you think you want to have fun and be part of this vibrant wave of craze, come and rock on!

Open House dates: 18th, 19th and 20th Jan (12pm - 6pm)
Special high-light: TP Jam & Hop 07!

Groove along, if not bounce into the first Jam & Hop in 2007! Dance dance baby, what a finale to close the exciting show! 7pm onwards in Sports Complex.

CSC: Cranes to Grains
A nation-wide bird project. Fold a paper crane and SongHe (rice company) will give a bowl of rice to the needy! A charity project that seeks to revive the caring community.

Coordinated by Community Service Club, the target for TP will be 15 thousand cranes! Let's make some birds and achieve yet another TP glory after setting the world record from Will @ TP! (2006)

Required: Volunteers for mending booth or to fold paper cranes. Or both!

Can Can Business Poster Design Competition

Can Can Business Poster Design Competition

Can Can Business is a campus-wide charity event whereby we will collect can food from TP students, regardless of school. The can foods will be donated to one old folk home (which will be announced at a later date) during the Chinese Lunar New Year.

This is a meaningful charity event as we get to help the old folks, as most of them are financially dependent on the aid of the home.


In addition, there will also be an Interest Group Hamper Wrapping Competition for the 12 respective IGs!

Can Can Business Poster Design Competition, like what its name suggests, is a poster design competition for Can Can Business. The purpose of this poster is to attract people's attention and aid towards this event, which eventually will help bring in more can foods for the old folk home. The word is attractive. You may also seek external help, for example: friends in design school. Also, the winning poster will be brought across to campus-wide. BE PROUD!

Project Blue - From Shorts to Pants

PROJECT BLUE - "from shorts to pants"
POLICE HERITAGE CENTRE
Interested to know more about the Singapore Police Force? How do they come about? What are their roles in this ever demanding society? Well don't worry, there is an opportunity for you now!

BSC is organizing a field trip to the Police Heritage Centre as part of an educational field trip exclusively for BSC Executive Members and our fellow Sub-Committee Members only!

Besides getting seal points (WOO~) and free goodie bags (WOO~) and an opportunity for those who are interested to pursue a career in the Singapore Police Force to enquire more, this trip also aims to provide students a perspective of the rule of law, the interplay of justice and corrupt-free governance and the importance of the trust and rapport of the governed.

Through this field trip, you will have a glimpse of the men and women who have contributed to law and order in this country, including those who have sacrifice their lives in the line of duty. On top of that, you will also learn the development of the Police Force from their known khaki shorts till the common blue pants now and also the formation of various units in the force to meet the needs and demands of our ever changing society in Singapore.
